A slightly more awkward solution that I enjoyed but might not serve you well in active games, is to use a halo strap like Bobo M2 and outright remove the facial interface like a budget Quest Pro. Maybe I'm just out of my mind, but I thought it worked well enough and I love the open air on my face in VR.
