I don't know if you like "retro" gaming, but for me it is the kind of feel of Mass Effect 1, or even Fallout 3 or New Vegas (which is not the largest open world). Maybe Fable 1?

Thanks! Yup I've played Mass Effect 1 and Fallout 3, though never really finished them. It definitely has some of the elements I'm looking for. Haven't played New Vegas though, but it's in my library. I'll try it out, thanks for the suggestions!
