Nederlandse overheid begint Mastodon-instance voor overheidsaccounts

De Nederlandse overheid is een Mastodon-instance begonnen op het subdomein social.overheid.nl. Het zal gaan om een instance bedoeld voor accounts van de Rijksoverheid, niet voor individuele ambtenaren.

Dit vind ik een interessante stap na recente kritiek aan het adres van oa de gemeente van Amsterdam over de NL-alert berichtgeving over storm Poly via Twitter, waarbij ze kennelijk niet op de hoogte waren dat mensen zonder twitteraccount geen tweets meer kunnen inzien. Als berichtgeving dan toch via social media gaat, lijkt me de Fediverse een goed en stabiel alternatief.

Kun je een Mastodon instance of beter, een account erop, ook volgen vanuit Lemmy? Andersom weet ik dat het kan
