Here is a guide on how to use PowerDeleteSuite to edit all Reddit comments automatically, which can be helpful for people who are migrating from Reddit and want to promote Lemmy: 1. Download and install PowerDeleteSuite from the official GitHub repository[1]. 2. Open PowerDeleteSuite and log in to your Reddit account. 3. Click on the “Edit” tab in the PowerDeleteSuite interface. 4. In the “Edit” tab, you can choose to edit all your comments or only comments from specific subreddits. 5. Enter the text you want to replace your comments with in the “Edit to” field. This is where you can promote Lemmy by sharing information, links, or any other relevant content. 6. Click on the “Edit” button to start the editing process. 7. PowerDeleteSuite will automatically edit all your comments with the new text you specified, which can help spread the word about Lemmy to your Reddit community. 8. Note that PowerDeleteSuite does not wait after editing a comment, so it will make the next request immediately[2]. 9. After the editing process is complete, you can choose to delete all your comments using the “Delete” tab in the PowerDeleteSuite interface. It is important to note that many subreddits have Automoderator configurations that could be triggered when you edit, so ensure that the content you provide in the edits aligns with the rules and guidelines of each subreddit[1]. Additionally, PowerDeleteSuite edits comments by overwriting the original text in the database with a word or single letter, then deleting it[3]. Finally, it is worth mentioning that PowerDeleteSuite pulls the latest version from GitHub, so whenever the developer adds new features or fixes bugs, you will have access to them[1]. By using PowerDeleteSuite to edit your Reddit comments and promote Lemmy, you can help introduce people to this alternative platform and encourage them to join the community.
