It has nothing to do with the shitpost sub, and you can just subscribe to the community you like and just ignore the others, blocking is kind of extreme for this purpose

I mostly browse my "frontpage". I only go to "all" or "local" when I'm bored or when I feel like expanding my "frontpage". There really isn't any need for blocking anything.
