Who's a guy from your franchise that deserves way more love than he gets?

Capitals fan here so I'll get us started.

I'm going with Nic Dowd. The man is super consistent, rarely misses a shift and finds a way to impact games more often than a 4th line 'grinder' should.

He's also the only guy on the team who seems to know how to win a faceoff.

This is much more on a league perspective than a team perspective, but I'd say Kris Letang for the Penguins. He's had his ups and downs, but he's been the Penguins go to D-man for like 15 years. He's rarely discussed among the best defensemen in the league. Then again, maybe that's because he shouldn't usually be in that discussion and I'm just biased as a Pens fan.

Nah he would be in the talks all the time, if he could stay healthy for a couple seasons. Love the man, but I fear how he's going to feel in like 15 years

Yeah, especially with the stroke. Hopefully that was a one time freak occurrence and not a recurring problem for him. To be that young and have a stroke is scary stuff.
