Netflix subscriptions rise as password-sharing crackdown takes effect

Netflix has seen a rise in new subscribers in the U.S. in recent days after rolling out its password sharing crackdown, according to new report.

It's early days, but the number of people signing up for new Netflix accounts seems to be outnumbering the ones quitting due to the policy change.

Netflix stock has been on a roll too, hitting a 52 week high recently. Surprisingly, the Ad supported tier of Netflix seems to be driving revenue higher than I'd anticipated.

This isn't a huge surprise, I guess. A company of that size wouldn't make that move without having done some research into whether it will be profitable or not. Would have been nice to see an increase in competition though.
