One of the last things my mom said before we stopped speaking is "I'm going to stay on the side of the party that PROTECTS kids!"
I never did dive into that comment, because I have a feeling there's a bunch of groomer, anti-trans shit underneath it. But it also makes clear, they don't see the near daily headlines about pastors in the Bible Belt raping kids, making CP, etc.
Part of me wants to send her that "still not a drag queen" list but she'd just do more mental gymnastics.

The continued high rate at which evangelical pastors are caught out as CPs and this Epstein/Trump thing makes it pretty damn clear that Conservative Americans don't think pedophilia matters.
