I'm so sick of hearing people smugly say "at least its not kamala" like she isn't a shit ass politician. It doesn't add anything to the conversation, it doesn't help anyone, it's not going to change anyone's mind, and I don't think it's even sufficient to get you to finish your wank. You can do better.

If you can’t see the difference between “uninspiring but ultimately steady” and “actively regressing the US on the world and national stage” I don’t know what to tell you.

Just because the bus isn’t getting exactly you where you want doesn’t mean it’s not a better direction to take. And I don’t like Kamala; we need more progressive politicians period.

how old are you, if i might ask?

i'm very well traveled, been to/through almost every state in the country and i tell you it's the same story everywhere...

looking at the state of this country the last...20, especially 30-50 years, it is incredibly obvious that we've been steadily stepping backwards everywhere that really matters. cool, we don't call people removed or retard anymore...meanwhile american workers continue to get squeezed for everything they can, a single minimum wage job used to buy you college, a home, and enough free-time for a decent vacation or 2 every year...now 2 full time jobs might let you pay off a home for your kids, maybe.

some minor social progress means nothing if 1 economic crash and a powergrab can undo it all

neolibs are not your friends, they care about nothing but $ same as republicans. how's the saying go..."insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result"?

personally, I like it when my enemies (and their enablers) feel comfortable enough to take their masks off. makes identifying them much easier

And yet…

People seem to ignore the fact that I stated explicitly we need more progressive politicians. And of course there are huge problems with the current state of the Democratic establishment including a deference to the wealthy vs the majority of Americans.

But this “both sides” argument is absolute bullshit

its not a both sides argument...kamala winning legitimately wouldnt change anything, because republicans would still be in charge. all it would do is make it easier for the powers that be to blame democrats for everything. there are two sides...the progressives and the establishment, everything else is just a show put on for the circus

it would be obama all over again, but with an even less effective congress. the establishment would get all their ratfucking through, the left would be even more jaded at dems... wondering why none of their progressive policies are moving forward again...more disillusionment etc.

with trump and co. in power there are no more masks, it is clear as day to anyone who doesn't have their head completely in the sand what is going on, how compromised their supposed representatives are/arent. extra so for the maga crowd, they might be dumb as shit but even they're starting to see they've been played again (whether that'll last through November of this year...who fucking knows), they might vote for trump unquestionably but so far that zeal hasnt extended to anyone else.

accelerationism sucks, it causes a lot of pain and misfortune...but it fucking works, as is clearly being seeing at the state/local level right now with all these decades-long republican held seats/boards being flipped

Would we have Gestapos attacking cities under Harris? Would all the government jobs be gone? Would we have the tariffs? It would not be the same
