Why did you join lemmy?

I wasn't too keen on Twitter and mostly spent time on reddit. When Mastodon came out I was intrigued, but the interface just wasn't something I was into. Lemmy seems way more up my alley.

As a bonus, you can still interact with people on Mastodon (like me!)

So I'm completely new to the "fediverse" so does this mean now I've got a Lemmy account I can use that same account for Mastodon? I never really gave it a try as I wasn't a Twitter user
