Thoughts on the new London Superloop bus proposal?

3 years ago by Vinnyboiler to c/london

The Superloop is a further plan from the Mayor, to enhance outer London’s bus network, connecting outer London boroughs, faster.

I can't say I'm a fan of it, I think it's cop out rather then a true attempt to improve public transport around the Greater London area, but at least it's something (unless it gets cancelled or only partially completed which is always something you shouldn't count out with TFL)? Will you see yourself using it? What's your thoughts?

An orbital railway is needed yes, but it’ll end up being just that and likely resulting from an overground expansion (which I doubt CG want, they were trying to merge devolved railways into GBR) rather than new track (or track to patch in different parts of existing track, new track will defo be needed in east london)

Superloop is a good middle of the road option for now, where we clearly need that orbital public transport connection.
