I’ve always kept some since moving out for college. Also make sure my bathroom trash cans have lids. I grew up with a sister seven years younger than me though and was a big part of raising her since our folks weren’t around much so that might play into it.
Edit: shoot, I just realized this is in a woman’s only space, I apologize, feel free to delete otherwise I’ll leave my comment as a warning to others. I apologize for not realizing prior to commenting in either case.
