Salyersville's First EV Chargers (That I Know Of)

6 months ago by Gerowen to c/kentucky

We're a county of something like 12k people and the city only has a population of something like 1,500, but behind the subway in town now we're getting our first EV chargers. With it costing me over $60 to fill up my V-6 Dodge Journey earlier, the thought has crossed my mind more than once to get one since 90% of our driving is within a 30 mile radius of home except on the odd occasion we run over to Princeton and Providence to visit in-laws.

That's great! I'm glad to see coverage expanding in EKY. That'll help a ton for people coming down the parkway.

Definitely look into switching over, especially if you can charge at home, that's where the real savings come in. Hopefully not, but they might jack up the price on that fast charger if they feel like they have a captive audience.

Keep us updated if you think about it, once they're turned on.

Salter's ville already has the highest gas prices around because once you leave Lexington there isn't a whole lot on the parkway for about 100 miles until you reach us. The fast chargers probably won't be much different.
