Absolutely. What people don't understand is that the US have short term economic goals but long-term political goals.
Shortsighted winning
That is only important for their managers who are essentially their employees.
But even businesses think long-term. Google has locked people deeply into their ad economy. Microsoft has given away Teams for free to now lock companies in.
As long as Europe doesn't find a way to balance the USA with China we are going to do what the US want.
