I've been singing every word to thing song since I was in elementary school. I would spend hours listening to it while reading the lyrics. I live the trumpet or trombone at the end that signals naive hope despite the entirety of the song and the lyrics at the end signifying defeat.
I would like suggestions for Punk that are as scathing and hopeful as NOFX - The Decline

I was hoping for specific tracks. I've heard almost all of these, but I'm looking for that specific feeling at the end of The Decline of being dreadfully hopeful that something can turn around, hopefully in our lifetime.

Bad Religion, Rancid/Operation Ivy, Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, Minor Threat, Reagan Youth, The Vandals, Social Distortion to name a few. Dome more hopeful than others but they are all really fucking good.
