A WhatsApp chat group based in Barcelona, Spain, filled up in just a few weeks with families who want to restrict devices among schoolchildren. It is the largest example of a movement that is growing among parents across Spain

I don't see how not giving young kids access to rapid content social media is a bad thing

The "digital literacy" argument feels valid to me: don't bar them from cellphones forever, control their exposure and make it about learning rather than endless scrolling social media
