I honestly didn't like the final act of NITW.
The whole eldritch monster thing came totally out of nowhere for me, and ruined the down to earth vibe that the game had had up till that point. I felt like I was playing a game about being kids, it felt so real. Then suddenly monster murder mystery.
Night In The Woods deeply affected me first with the ending, and then again with the whole scenario that unraveled outside of the game. Few things make me feel melancholy like thinking of that game.
