I joined a lemmy.ml community, but all the comments from other .ml users have disappeared.
3 years ago by Steal Wool to c/support
It took me a while, but I finally joined !zen@lemmy.ml
But after joining all post's comments became zero, and I can no longer see any other the other users comments (i believe these users are all lemmy.ml users). Also, I'm wondering if my comments are not visible to those users...
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!
I am seeing greatly increased incoming messages from feddit.uk over the past few days:
Perhaps the situation has already begun improving?
I can tell you that for sure it will improve even further as soon as they upgrade to 0.18.1. There are some important federation-related changes in that patch, and we can already see with lemmy.world what a night-and-day difference these changes made.

Apologies if this isn't the right place but I'm having a similar issue with Feddit.uk and I can see the posts but the comments are empty (whereas on feddit.uk, there are numerous). This is my first time using Lemmy so I'm not sure how it all works and whether the comments are mirrored across instances (I presume not) or whether they're pulled at the point of viewing the post in which case maybe there is an issue. Any help would be appreciated @sunaurus@lemm.ee if you're able to! Thanks
