I got gilded once and I think the lounge opened up for me for 30 days or so?

Never really found anything particularly interesting or good about it, just a meaningless sub imho.

Ok what is the lounge, exactly? I've heard of it but never cared enough to find out what it is but you've made me curious.

Imagine a general purpose subreddit about anything, basically, except the only thing in common we had was that we got gilded. That's how I remember it. It wasn't an informative subreddit where you learn stuff, but more of a chat subreddit.

Fun fact: you could get gilded in /r/lounge and go on to /r/MegaLounge. In fact, you could go up pretty far, I think all the way up to mega diamond. I made it to Mega 4 somehow, and it was actually a really neat little community of people just chatting about life and such. That's one of the few subreddits that I genuinely will miss.
