Great, now do something with it.
I loved GTA 3, the first one I ever played and bonus, Vice City was even better! I thought GTA 4 was OK - not great, not terrible. I hated GTA 5. Similarly, I loved RDR and hated RDR 2 (I know I basically stand alone on this one).
Personally I feel like Rockstar is on a trajectory. My interest in 6 is in negative numbers. It's not like I don't like the genre. I love Cyberpunk, but even that I didn't buy until I managed to get it on sale for $20.
I might consider getting GTA 6 if it goes on sale for $5, which it won't. Hell, they still want $20 for 4 lol. Money grubbing shits.
Let's put another dumb religious cunt in charge of something, that's always worked out in the past.
I know, right? They must have built it really solidly. Except for the whole falling down bit.

Yeah, seriously! I joined Reddit sometime around 2010 because I used to have this web-based IRC link aggregator I would browse every morning and it went dead. Reddit's interface (now "old" Reddit) looked almost exactly like the aggregator. I looked at Digg too, didn't like it. Well then the Digg thing happened and Reddit exploded in popularity and was basically worthless outside niche communities within 3-4 years. Too many damn people, impossible to get a word in edgewise or be seen at all.
I got on Lemmy two, going on three years ago now... and it has always felt exactly like Reddit did in 2010. Quiet, threads big enough to read and to participate in but not so big you get drowned in a sea of bullshit. The best thing is, all these years in and it's still not enshittifying! The Fediverse don't care about being the big boys and imo it's great because of it. I hope it's like this for a good long while. Just enough patronage to be sustainable would be perfect.
Edit: I just noticed your username! A man of culture, I see.

It's a craving for something real

It seems likely that he was an actual person. It is not verified, nor is it verifiable. This is the kind of shit Bible apologists like to whip out as if it confirms their beliefs. Almost to a person, people who refer to the Historicity of Jesus Wikipedia page use terms like "verified fact" in the same breath. If you're not intending to be a Bible apologist, you should probably take a different tack.
Nobody (especially the apologist) gives a shit whether some rando Nazarine created a religious movement. They were a dime a dozen. What the people who bring this up actually care about is that said Nazarine is the Son of God and the Christian Messiah. Just because he existed, doesn't mean he is anything of the sort, or that God even exists. There is literally no other useful knowledge to be had in pointing out that Jesus was probably a real person, so if you're hell bent on making sure everybody knows he was so totally super-duper real guys, then everybody figures you must have an agenda.
haha yes, Jesus of Nazareth and Julius Ceasar, totally the same! As one would expect of a... peasant zealot and the leader of the largest empire in the Western world. Their respective footprints in history, shit they might as well be twins!
Calling Jesus "verified fact" is the only misinformation in this thread buddy. I'm sorry you and all the morons like you believe in fairy tales. The world sucks because of it.
I don't know why. It's not like her resume otherwise is nothing but bangers.
I dunno, 100x better? I mean, maybe like 2.5x better. Let's not get carried away. This still fucking sucks.

My favorite thing I've heard this news cycle is that Karoline Leavitt was on that plane. lol
The truth is since returning to the White House after the birth of my daughter, I have felt in my heart that I cannot be the best mom my two young children deserve while devoting the constant time, energy, and attention required of the White House Press Secretary
So we can be certain that's not the reason.
hops just have to be closer.
It doesn't take much of a leap of imagination to see a torrent-like system utilizing all available devices within earshot to spread the bandwidth around to realize a pretty fast system available nearly everywhere in dense urban areas and slower (but ubiquitous) coverage the more rural you get. Obviously we're far away from that now, but this definitely seems like the future to me.
We're in a drought, sure, but it could be mitigated, if the capitalist class and their lackey politicians actually gave a fuck - but they do not appear to.
It has become impossible to tell managers mesmerised by artificial intelligence that the tools are not, in fact, helpful.
This is stupid. The tools are helpful. Overhyped? Sure. But to pretend they are in no way helpful is just wrong.
Except insurance has basically decided it doesn't need to actually pay for the most part.
I believe this stuff is going to be huge. Reticulum, Lora, Meshtastic all bit players now in a drama that has yet to get a finished script. It will start out as a supplement to the Internet, allowing you connectivity even when your Internet falters and as it becomes more ubiquitous, it will be increasingly used/usable and increasingly important. It can't be shut down, it can't be controlled. A country would literally have to ban radio signals of any kind in order to shut it down. It's free. Buy the hardware, use the network, because you are the network. I love this.
