Just little update to what I've decided (at least for now).. I have to agree with some of you saying that specializing in this specific subfield is not totally optimal, and have just decided to research it in my own time, purely out of curiosity. Also, one of the bigger reason for me even being on Lemmy, and being more privacy conscious is my increasing frustration with this technology (together with Google, Microsoft, the obvious ones). So, instead of pursuing a degree in a bubble as one of you said, I'd just rather learn about it on my own, together with contributing and interacting more with Lemmy, Fediverse, FOSS communities and similar. Thank you for your answers everyone!

Personally, AI was the reason I couldn't buy steam deck, so I just got really mad and stopped using it cold turkey.. Amazing decision, been feeling great since... Still can't get steam deck tho

I switched Spotify for Qobuz at first, but in the end I realized that I don't want a streaming platform like this at all. So now I listen to online radio (mostly to Radio Paradise) through Shortwave on desktop, and RadioDroid on phone. I also started self hosting Navidrome, and whenever I like something from the radio, I download the album through SoulSeek.

I get it's a lot of tools/apps, but it became so much more fun to me! Spotify was kinda just soulless to me at some point, and I noticed not really caring for the actual music..
