What? Why? It's good chese. You can even grill it a bit to make it extra tasty

Mind your local laws regarding burning things out in the open. But i think it would be super cool if people started adopting this. I don't know how similar the tradition is to the colombian one, but in ecuador the doll is called the "old year". It's stuffed with old newspaper and sawdust, clothed in old, unusable pants and shirt and wears a papier-mâché mask of whatever you want. It's common to put a mask of a politician
Mine is a youtube video where girl shares that she used to do extreme self deprecating humor like "oh, i dropped this thing, i should just kill myself" but tried flipping completely to "oh, i dropped this thing, guess it's the price of having such nice skin and grace." She noticed how it helped her improve her relation with her friends and weed out the bad ones. This video was profoundly influential to me but i didn't realize until later so i didn't save it at the time.
I have watched the entire show and i can confirm. He's shown multiple times to actually be completely unempathetic and self centered, even with his only friend. He makes racist, mysogynistic, homofobic, etc, comments just because he wants to piss people off. I don't remember him saying anything transfobic but that's just because he never encounters a trans person he can insult (except maybe one time where he discovers a girl is actually physiologically a man and is completely unempathetic to her learning this information, despite knowing full well how much she identifies with her beauty as a woman)
If you're wondering how the show is appealing, he's a very interesting character to observe. The audience is meant to empatize with everyone around him and sometimes with him. He has some redeemning qualities that people try to focus on and they tolerate him because he's a net good. In the end people leave the hospital happy and healthy. He's extremely pragmatic and calls other people out on their bullshit all the time. He often unearths social tensions people have which are hurting them. He will stand for his principles and against other evil people. He's constantly a pain, but he's not spiteful, does not hold any groudges. If someone fucks up he either throws them out on the spot or they are forgiven completely
I feel like i've become highly attuned to the sound of a phone and can hear it anywhere in a room. The disadvantage is of course a lingering stress whenever i get confused with a similar sound or someone elses phone
Just adding one more, in spanish it's raining from jugs ("cántaro", more like an amphora, never used this old word outside of this expression)
I personally don't use this expression anymore. My family and I now only say something my brother came up with because we find it hilarious: it's a rain so hard it's like two rains
Came here to say this. Not only is it european spanish but it's also a bit dated. Nowadays they would say "this makes mine sweat" (mine is a noun here, as in my thing) and where i'm from we say "this is worth dick to me" (which i hope will also be outdated sometime soon)
Ah, thanks for clarifying. I didn't remember the exact condition. What i wanted to express with physiological was that it didn't present externally in any way. I actually had to look at the definition in the dictionary for the first time, i had that totally wrong
While i like this quote in a vacuum, you should be aware that this is the description of the book where it came from: Man, The Unknown is a best-selling 1935 book by Alexis Carrel which advocated, in part, that mankind could better itself by following the guidance of an elite group of intellectuals, and by implementing a regime of voluntary eugenics.
No, that's PVC. You're thinking of the standard that allows you to write flag emojis
