Incoherent ramblings of an old man during a presidential race. He had an obsession on this topic.
If there was a shark or you get electrocuted, I'll take electrocution every single time. I'm not getting near the shark
If I thought I was going to die, my instinct would not be to whip out a pistol–it would be to get out of the way of the vehicle. In no world was this reaction justifiable, especially not by people in charge of serving and protecting. It's bullshit that this will be spun and forgotten by Saturday. You'll see MAGA celebrate like they did with Rittenhouse for the sane stupid things.
I feel way too compelled to share. I got hit by teenage urges really hard. A girl I was into teased me only to reveal later that she thought I was weird, which I found out through friends. It felt crushing. I became a bit of an incel, but I eventually made a friend of the opposite sex. I deliberately shifted focus from desperation to simply existing in the moment. Someone enjoyed my presence sincerely and it repaired some of that shame weighing me down. I eventually met my would be wife and treated her like a friend until it was more than that.
Reddit seems to be in purge mode so that the AI doesn't develop too many problematic leftist opinions. I was looking back to an old post critizing CS Lewis and the comments were absolutely nuked since my last visit.
I don't like the tone of that. If some dude peddling bullshit gets what he deserves, I don't see the reason not to relish in it even a little. This guy has been an oppressive POS who's rhetoric is celebrated by Neo Nazis. That's like saying, "just cuz hitler died doesn't mean you get to say mean things."
Look, I know we all struggle to maintain morality against our emotions, but, sometimes, the reaction is perfectly valid.
Linux is infuriating at times, like when you have a nice mouse or capture card that requires special software or drivers, but compromising my values for the sake of convenience feels pathetic when Windows really isn't that much better. I use Windows when I must and nothing more.
I feel like this one went under the radar after the ICE executions.
I they both have clear answers, but they're obscured by which class you're in. Rich? Obviously it's not wrong to hoard. Poor? Obviously you need to eat to survive. Because of this bias, the argument for poor's needing to steal will always be the debate, always leaving room for the rich to argue against it and justify punishment for people who find ways to make ends meet.
