My thought process is that I went to an inflation calculator and entered a dime in 1960 and it told me it would be 1.13 now. Here's a link: https://www.usinflationcalculator.com/. According to Duck Duck Go AI, a cup of coffee in 1960 cost about 34 cents, and a beer was anywhere between 10 and 25 cents. Coors was on the 20cent end, because it was considered premium.

Same. As someone who even lives in the southwest, I rarely find their flight options are any better than the competition. I'm really not sure who their target market is anymore.

I was reading an story on Reddit about a guy who worked as a door dash driver, and he basically said that this is the requirement to meet the necessary ROI for a real job. He listed off a million tricks to maximize profits. If you refuse low-cost/low-tip orders, Doordash will tend to prompt you with higher value orders, and give the low-value orders to the people who won't refuse them, so you can gradually build your way into the premium customer base. If an order will deliver to a low-income area, it's not always worth the trip back to a high income area by the nice restaurants, so he usually refused those too. It was honestly an awful testimonial to read, everything he listed off screws over his fellow man because Door dash makes it impossible to screw them over for even a penny.

The Brits invented radar, and could thus anticipate German bombing raid well in advance what of what was previously possible. They didn't want Germany to know about their fancy new tech, so they said that British soldiers had incredibly good eyesight because they ate lots of carrots in the hopes the rumor would spread to Germany. The myth still persists today.

If you don't play Alice's restaurant at least 4 times throughout the day on Thanksgiving, you can't eat until you catch up.

Same. Unfortunately, I haven't seen another game like it. Everyone complained that it wasn't like the rest of the franchise, but since I did like DMC DMC, the rest of the franchise doesn't sound like it's worth my time.

Early on in the AI game, before Vibe Coding was even a term, Cursor was the only tool that could connect VsCode to an AI model. Since then, there are now dozens of tools to do this for you. Cursor basically has no unique features, the only value it has as a company is an existing userbase and an established dev team. The worst part is that they are built on top of VSCode, which means their existence hinges on Microsoft benevolently sharing one of their most valuable products, and Microsoft has made several moves to try to kill the Cursor userbase and bring them back to VSCode.

Cursor is one of the worst investments you could make right now. It's surrounded on all sides by rivals trying to eat their lunch, and they have basically zero IP to protect their market advantage.

The company taking most of chatGPT's market share is actually Gemini, which I think is cheating because it's basically just padding the numbers with random google searches.

You've got it all backwards. In an ideal capitalist world, the greedy software nonprofit foundations bleed the innovative corporations of their well-earned revenue.

As someone who didn't particularly enjoy the first two, I was very grateful that Infinite was different. The only really bad part IMO was the ghost fight. On the higher difficulties, she tanked more ammo than existed in the area.

Yup, Santa Fe is at 7000ft. At those altitudes, a single drink is worth about 2, and you sober up slower. 4 beers is considered a long night of drinking, and must be done with water breaks and food.

Unfortunately, these AI-discovered exploits seem like they're here to stay. It's just wishful thinking to imagine that we'd somehow fix all the bugs, so we're just gonna have to live with endless day-zeroes forever.

That was just their vertical speed at the time of impact. In normal flight, it's usually zero or close to it. This thing was falling fast, possibly faster than just a freefall.

Good thing cloudflare is only used on half of all websites, otherwise this would be a major outage! Let's keep centralizing our services though!

I'm willing go bet a lot of people making weird bets like this are doing the equivalent of insider trading. The whole concept of betting on random news is ripe for the opportunity for people with insider knowledge to always win big off of the losses of gambling addicts.

The lady showed up to the No Kings protest prepared to be arrested and dressed for the part, and the photographer was looking for a great shot to match it. The cops, being complete idiots, decided that they would handcuff lady liberty, never considering the context of the situation or that they are, in fact, the bad guys of the photo.
