There was a shooting at a Trump rally. Details are still being released. The meme is referencing the successful assassination of Shinzo Abe a couple years ago.

$2000 should get you something pretty nice. Do you have anything specific in mind that you're planning to do with it? Important stuff to keep in mind up front, in no particular order: do you play games? How big should the screen be? How long do you want to use it on battery? Any operating system preferences?
Does anyone else feel weird about the vast amounts of computing resources seemingly being wasted on generative AI services like Copilot? It might be different if this was something that could run locally without requiring an internet connection, but clearly we aren't there yet. Copilot specifically reminds me too much of Siri from iOS 5, and it's often really slow compared to competing services.
Sucks that this will inevitably become more common, but hopefully it'll be easy enough to remap to something useful.
If you have the financial means, don’t hesitate to take some lessons, even if it’s only for a month or two as you’re getting started. A good teacher can help you identify bad habits early so you can learn faster. YouTube is an incredible resource, but it can’t replace someone physically showing you what to do.
I’m expecting the usual Bethesda bugfest for the first month or two, but the game itself seems like it should be pretty entertaining and immersive. My plan is to see what the Steam reviews look like in a month or two.
Salvage seems like a perfectly good seasonal activity, maybe just needs more enemy density to make it seem worthwhile with six people. Deep Dives, on the other hand, are absolutely incredible and probably some of the best missions Bungie has put out in a while. I was in one for 28 minutes the other night and had a blast.
The triggers for escalating the difficulty in Deep Dives really highlight the need for a ping system in D2. It's long overdue, and it'd be way more helpful than shooting teammates and hoping they pick up on the cue.
This goes for any game, but especially Destiny 2 because of the way Bungie lets players interact with different menus during loading screens: I hate getting kicked out of menus when I finally land on a destination, especially if it’s a social area. It’s pretty obnoxious if you’re tweaking parts of your loadout and then have to dive back into the menus to get back where you were.
Here's an AI-generated recap:
Good evening,
In a pivotal update from Lemmy.zip administrators, the community's recent 48-hour poll has yielded a clear mandate. A significant 76% of the votes called for defederation with Exploding Heads and rammy.site, while 24% opted for the connection to remain.
In response, Lemmy.zip has promptly implemented a block on the specified instances. This action, however, remains subject to review as more robust moderation tools are developed, with the intention of targeting problematic communities in the future.
Additionally, a block has been placed on the burggit.moe instance due to the presence of illegal content depicting minors engaged in explicit acts, even in cartoon form. This measure aligns with Lemmy.zip's commitment to responsible content within the online community.
This succinct update underscores Lemmy.zip's dedication to its user base and its responsibility within the broader fediverse.
Thank you for tuning in.
Only negative I spotted in the post is the reduction to heavy drops when running double special, but that’s pretty understandable given the way I’ve never run out of ammo with Retrofit Escapade.
Can’t wait to try out Monte Carlo, I have a feeling it’s going to be amazing on Shadebinder!
It’s been a bummer without loadouts, but I decided to take the opportunity to make a new build (Banner of War + Stronghold) since I don’t have easy access to my other ones right now. There are definitely worse ways to enjoy the first week of the season!
Sometimes I really wish I had been able to swallow my pride and pick up a PS4 to play Destiny at launch. One of my coworkers tried to get me hyped up for it, but I was so opposed to playing shooters with a controller that I didn't even give it a chance.
This was a pretty cool video to watch. I've really liked Datto's content for the past few years, and it seems like he does a better job than most other content creators at providing meaningful critiques of the game instead of just making unrealistic demands. Hopefully he enjoys a nice break after the saga wraps up!
thanks for using Leebra!
