showrunners said they would like to, but it's not happening.

there was a brief TAS style animated ad for the resort planet in episode s04e03.

Fermi paradox solution: aliens approach from a direction where the first part they see is the Philippines and Indonesia, and just say "nah I'm not learning all those names of islands", and leave.

And the UK plays as four separate teams.

More, if you include Isle of Man, Gibraltar, etc...

if you're posting about diversity being a negative, you've totally missed the point of all Star Trek since 1966.

It did come up again, it's just not many people made it to near the end of Discovery.

Adblock, maybe a noticeable fraction on desktop, but Revanced users are within a rounding error of the total users, surely?

I feel like both populations are now dwarfed by the numbers watching YT on their TV's built-in apps, which throw demented amounts of ads at you.

Only Klingons from the Northern Province have a claw coming out of the top of their feet.

Only Trill symbionts from the Northern Province can blend with humans and take over their body entirely.

Only Trill humanoids from the Northern Province have strong V-shaped brow-ridges and no spots.

She's writing for Academy, and was cast in one (excellent) episode of Academy as a character who seems quite likely to occasionally recur, btw.

California-class ships are weirdly huge. The way people talk about their missions and status , I initially thought they're meant to be smallish starships, like Intrepid-class, but they're almost Nebula-class size. Plenty of room inside those pylons for multiple lift shafts.

I seem to remember Jeff explaining his choice, and a big factor was that Nebula doesn't have comments under videos, nor any other similar forums for video posters and watchers to chat. I think he said he wouldn't be happy without that direct interaction.

"The consensus is also that there was no actual “massacre” in the square."

oh, so because hundreds of people were killed in the streets just outside the square, that's alright then, no need to mention it, let's keep defending the authoritarian state, huh.

This has never been true. Daggerfall and Morrowind, for example, were huge successes for Bethesda despite players falling through the floor into an infinite void several times a day. There are countless other examples of horribly buggy games.

Before home internet, PC games magazine cover disks (they did 💾 type for years before CDs) were my main channel of getting very welcome patches.

the DW article does mention that most of the killings were on the streets outside the square.

you disingenuously cherry-picked your quote to imply there was no massacre at all.

with your demonstrated level of respect for human life, it's entirely unsurprising that you admire authoritarian violent regimes.
