I consider him a true American patriot.
Nothing is more patriotic than wanting your country to do better.
Implementing drag net surveillance was a terrible decision, and exposing it was truly heroic.
Sadly, Snowden is now in the clutches of Russia who can and does use him as their pawn.
It is easy to say that this is where the EU should have stepped up and given him sanctuary, but that would have been less than ideal for him.
Given the high profile of Snowden's leak, the US still want's him back, and back then even more so, had Snowden gone to the EU, he most likely would have been extradited, kidnapped or even assassinated.
By staying in Russia that was a far lower risk to him.
Eh, the EU makes a big deal of freedom, and has stood up to the US in the past, but here there are actual laws and regulations to follow, and if we stop extraditing US citizens to the US, the US would stop extraditing our citizens to us.
Hey, thanks for telling me, I know about tankies, as well as the instances they run, though I don't check every user to see where they come from.
I'll tag him accordingly.
The one useful feature of AI that I have found is to use it as a dynamic manual.
I ask about specific commands, or how to do something, similar to a normal search engine.
I then test the answer given, and if successful, I implement the knowledge into my code.
Something like this:
How do I make a progress bar with diagonal stripes in HTML/CSS?
I get a generic answer and start experimenting with it.
I could easily skip the AI part and go back to regular searching, it would slow me down, but I would be fine + it would be less wasteful.
Dear Apple, instead of focusing on AI, can you fix the setup process on new iPhones?
It is a fucking mess, shit has been added seemingly at random to it and you need to do stupid workarounds to activate an iPhone without a physical SIM card while setting up an Apple account.
I am an IT guy, I have to help our users several times a week with setting up new phones.
If you have a new user with a new phone you have to do it like this:
The issue is that for some idiotic reason, Apple puts the eSIM part of the setup after you sign in with your Apple ID, meaning that unless you have a physical SIM card in the phone, you can't activate an Apple account on the device since you can't verify the phone number.
We had a cat when I grew up, a lovely female cat with completely black fur, short but compact, with tuffs of hair on her ears.
I remember the first time I gave her some ice on a plate, it was summer, 30+ C in Sweden, she lay in the shadow under a table on the deck of our house, seemingly completely exhausted.
So I got an ice cube and put it on a plate and brought it to her.
She was interested and sat up straight and looked at the cube, gave it a sniff and a small lick, and clearly was interested, but a bit confused.
It wasn't long before she realized that if she just waited a bit she could drink some cool refreshing water, and got excited.
She looked intently at the ice cube and then gave it a few licks, then back to looking and so on.
It was quite interesting to see.
Oil is in everything!
A shitload of medicine is made from oil, artificial fertilizer is made from oil, plenty of clothing is made from oil, engineered lumbar is made from oil, and so on.
Oil is amazingly useful, not only energy rich, but full of a huge number of useful chemicals, it is also easy to process.
When oil runs out, modern society will collapse.
thanks for using Leebra!
