It's kind of absurd how easy this is for them, they telegraph their war crimes, loudly and proudly, but just say "Russia did it" and western public eats it up. Russia apparently loves blowing up their own stuff and territory they already control apparently, because they're Voldemorts.

How they retaliate would be up to them. They likely wouldn't use nukes (America's policy for a response to a radiological attack on US soil by contrast would likely be a nuclear weapon if done by a nation state) but could do anything.

I'll often scroll MSM thumbnails on youtube to get a gist of what media is actively talking about, media has been running hard the narrative that Russia was about to attack the plant. Knowing that media has lied about Russia attacking things they didn't before (pipeline, the bridge, etc.) I made an assumption that Ukraine was about to attack it, and Russia was going to get the blame. This sells me on the idea.

Didn't the US say that "Russia" attacking the plant (or using nukes) was the "red line" that they would consider to be an attack on NATO? It seems like this would be done by the Ukrainian hardliners (mainly neo-nazis) who find negotiation unacceptable but know that they can't win without other countries joining in directly.

I saw that Russia had partially emptied a nuclear power plant recently. My first thought was that they expected it to be attacked. Maybe this is the one. Hope not. But then, we're talking about a military that (a) uses depleted uranium and (b) just leaves it lying around where it can be blown up by their enemy.

I'm not criticizing you and I don't see relevance with the point of the last paragraph. My comment was also engaging with this source. It's just a comment. It doesn't say that this shouldn't be here.

Russia speaks like Muhammad Saeed al-Sahhaf during the invasion of Iraq. Tanks rolling in the background and denying what's happening.

USA & Ukraine has a lot of bullshit of course. Their aim seems to be more on manipulating the morale and support.

(Although some of the comments seem to forget the healthy skepticism. Russia is as anti-communist as USA, so the bandwagoning is really weird)

After they destroyed their own dam, killing their own people I don't doubt anything. Both sides are monstrous, Russia for taking this to a war and Ukraine for being a bunch of nazis.

It's the ass covering both sides have been using this entire war. Trying to get their side of their spin on the story out before something even happens. With Ukraine's supply of equipment depending on it's PR this war will continue to be devoid of honest information from any state with a stake in the war.
