Last I read, you delete your comments and they won't be publicly visible but Reddit still has them and still will sell them for monetization

To me, they can keep what they've already got from me, they just won't get any more directly from me- I don't trust them to honour data deletion requests properly anyway.

I've already deleted my account, and never put a deletion request beforehand. And from what I hear you have to do it before you delete your account for them to even give you a chance of honouring the deletion request.
