What are you using Elixir for?

I'm just learning for fun, but I'm curious what others are liking/not liking about Elixir for projects (big or small!).

I use it at work and have for the last 7 or so years. But outside of work I've used nerves for some home automation stuff, model rail, and a weather station. Nerves+live view make real time weather dashboards trivial and wonderful

I do have a Nerves home weather station thing in my queue of fun projects. Seems... well, fun.

Most obnoxious part is dealing with the oddities of your weather station. My station is a Davis station, and the protocol is fairly well documented, but it was still tedious to make work

After that I just made the app emit data over mqtt, where anything else can use the data. I've got homeassistant and the console I made listening
