I prefer KDE Plasma myself. I could never wrap my feeble brain around the Gnome workflow. Plus I prefer the customizability of Plasma.

It's definitely a little wonky! I'm still getting used to it, but I kind of like it so far.

I use MATE as my DE of choice. I happen to like the old classic style of desktop. In particular I have a taskbar at the top of all my screens with all my window buttons, and a launcher bar at the bottom of my middle screen.

been on KDE for the last 2 years, I like it and the way it works for me. I also like the eye candy I can set up.

I'm a huge Gnome fan, but since Gnome 45 completely broke the ability to use any screen shot app other than their default one (which was, is, and apparently will always be, utter and useless crap), I chose to move to KDE, bring the UX and UI as close to Gnome as humanly possible, and now I'm really liking KDE. I stayed away from it because the amount of customization was overwhelming for me, but now that I managed to finally customize it to resemble Gnome, I'm OK with it. The one thing I have not been able to achieve is to get the desktop switching to work as in Gnome with my mouse wheel, but that's a good trade off to have control over how I screen shot in my devices.

DWM and i3/Sway are my favorites but I can live almost any DE. Right now I run DWM my main machine and vanilla Gnome on my laptop.

I use Sway and really like it. Clean and simple. Its a pain to set up from scratch though, but once you are there it feels so right to use.

I like KDE but it's a little too Windows-like and very busy/cluttered, that's why I prefer Gnome as it feels closer to Mac OS (which use at work).

I recently switched to kde plasma Wayland. So far a good experience, except my desktop icon positions get reset sometimes...
