Lol is this a joke? Another one for https://killedbygoogle.com/

Why would anyone still use a Google service? Be it Currents, Stadia or Domains. They will kill it eventually.

Google is like as if my ADHD addled brain with two dozen projects its procrastinating on started an Internet company. This is getting old. They better not fuck up my domains in the transfer.

This integrated really well with Google's cloud platform and search console. There was no need to do any authentication since the same Google account was already associated with the domain - it was all in one place. It also only took a few clicks to route traffic through to GKE containers. I'll definitely miss that going forward.

That was so convenient and cheap to set up a quick website.

Seems like a good idea. I had never heard of Google Domains, but google does have a habit of putting their hand in every bucket they can possibly imagine. Some things they do well and some others not so well

Didn't see this coming, but I'm also not surprised with Google's graveyard. Guess I'll have to migrate my recently bought domain weeeew
