Planned Server Maintenance 6/30 Sunday 1700 UTC

2 years ago by lwadmin to c/lemmyworld

Hey all, We are planning to do a Docker upgrade tomorrow 6/30 Sunday, around 1800 UTC. The whole site will be down during the upgrade, but should only be down for a short while. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. Thanks!

I'm assuming this isn't also the update to 0.19.5

No rush or anything, but do you have a rough ETA for when that is planned?

correct.

we don't have an eta currently. we're still keeping an eye on issues reported by other instances.

which features are you looking for?

I guess the main ones for me are the improved federation capabilities (wordpress, discourse, etc) and the image proxying. But there's a few smaller nice-to-haves too.

image proxying is currently not usable for us anyway, see e.g. https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/pull/4874

The uploads gallery and the ability to delete uploaded images is an urgent must-have feature in order for Lemmy World to comply with its own privacy policy.
