As an American (who voted for Harris), I'm so sorry. I'm absolutely horrified at the outcome of this, and what is happening to Ukraine and Palestine. And what will happen to others even in my own community.
I'm a straight, white, hetero male and will in theory be OK with a Trump presidency. But I take the lessons of history very seriously and voted to help others. I'm deeply ashamed that so many other Americans did not feel the same.
I live in Oklahoma and am a white male who voted for Harris. My kids are LGBTQ and I tried. I thought with all the early voting that Harris was going be ahead. Never occurred to me that all those people voted early for Trump. We are so fucked the economy going crash. Hell Musk and co said going be hard for anyone not rich. Well that's us.
...And like 90% is tRump voters in the South [are not rich]. The worst mistake we made, as a country, was not hanging every last leader of the Civil War, including members of Congress.

I'm sorry. I tried. I got all my friends to make sure they were registered, told them all to make a plan and go vote early. It didn't matter that we lived in Arkansas where it was going to go this way because I said every vote could help.
I and most of my friends are LGBTQ and I legitimately don't know what to do now. Half the people who voted want to remove us from existence or don't care. And the rest that didn't vote? It's somehow worse.
But I am sorry to the rest of the world fighting for freedom, we can't get our act together. You deserved better.
So America has decided and it looks like it won't even be close. The republicans will control Congress and the presidency. And looking at the numbers this won't be about turnout. In michigan for example, young voters went for Trump. He looks even on track to win the popular vote.
America has actively chosen Trump. They can't blame turnout and it looks like they can't even blame their crappy electoral system.
There will be a lot of recriminations in the Democrat party, and there is a lot of responsibility on their side. They were undemocratic, snuffing out their primary process, lumbering the party with a dud until the last moment and then rushing to pick Harris. I like Harris but they should have had an open primary even in July, and of course Biden should have stepped out of the election a year ago and let others compete and have a good run at the white house.
But also they are responsible along with the republicans for the 2 party system with its corruption, gerrymandering and shut down of options for any body who doesn't agree with either party. We can only hope this will stimulate the Democrat party to embrace actual democracy. It didn't last time.
But ultimately American voters have gone for Trump, they want him, they deserve him. The rest of the world will just have to deal with him.
Maybe Ukraine will unleash itself and use those long range missiles the way they've wanted to now that future support is fucked anyway.

Its been scary seeing a massive, anti-ukrainian conservative wave after the Ukraine invasion. I was shocked seeing it happen in Europe, especially with Italy Slovakia, and with Hungary and Turkey incumbents somehow staying in power despite economic catastrophes. Now I am horrified to see it has spread to America.
I've been watching the war closely and was hoping that Ukraine could win after increased aid after the election, but it looks like its going to dry up. This reminds me of pro-Hitler Americans during WW2. Shouting "America first!" And clamoring to cut aid to Britain and the USSR.
Again we see "America first!" While cutting support to Europe, Ukraine, Korea, Japan, and everyone else, except Israel (funny how that works?). I dont think there was any time "america first" wasn't a fascist dog whistle.
I am now scared the Ukraine war will be akin to the Polish uprising during Nazi occupation. A united, determined people, brave enough to frighten the devil, crushed by overwhelming ignorance and fascism.
