Yeah, if you reopen the debate then a lot of right wing evangelical money from across the pond will start trying to shape the debate, and there are people here who will enable that. I’d be very concerned that any attempt to modernise could open the door for regression.
I must say, I'm happy to see a Tory politician looking at this, though my concern would be opening up the debate risks further erosion of rights as well.
