Sync issues again?

2 years ago by Chozo to c/fedia

Just noticed that my comments and posts from the last 24 hours don't seem to be appearing on outside instances at all.

I'm up at all hours of the day and I can tell you it's been continuous since the last time. Some times it's just a few minutes. This one is over 10 hours but there was a 4 hour one just before it. Comments are almost always delayed now. Seems kbin/mbin is cursed, which is a bummer cause if has the best hot algorithm.

Yeah, after seeing Kbin.social fold and now seeing similar stability problems here, I'm starting to think the same. Perhaps it's time for me to start looking at other platforms.

I like the core infrastructure of Lemmy, but I find the features to be really barebones. I've been hearing interesting things about PieFed, though. I may check out a few instances to see how their feature sets feel.
