How do you reset your password?

Hey guys, just like the title says, I'm trying to reset my password but I can't find any fucking info on it. I forgot my password. There's no link to reset your password. There's no nothing on it. Sooooooo how do you do it?? I got to do food so I'm trying to log in on my new phone but obviously you don't ever remember your passwords. Every fucking account you make so I need to reset my password so you guys see my dilemma.

Yeah, you can't do that in app. I don't think you can on any of the current apps.

I think you need to go to your instance on the browser and do it. So go to lemmy.world

Also consider using a password manager like KeePass then you won't forget it!

Sync is an app tho. How the fuck am I supposed to do it in a browser when sync there's a fucking app? The dev is awesome and I've been supporting him for years. How the hell did this guy just have a oversight like this?

It is an app but it is a "Third party" app, IE not an official Lemmy app.

So it won't have high enough access to user data to do password changes.

Look at getting a password manager like Bitwarden to manage and store all of your passwords instead of trying to remember them.
