I'll gladly take alleged risky adventure over the alternative

Some people live their lives based on feelings and not facts. Smart people consider policies and the proven outcomes of those policies. They don't much care who the politician is that is putting those policies into effect. I don't know one person who is better off now then during the Trump years. But I do hear excuses from those who voted against Trump and whose lives are worse off. They have lost the ability of understanding cause and effect and how the policies of the biden regime are the cause of so many negative outcomes that affect them personally. Most importantly inflation. And amazingly even though all those with an IQ north of 40 know that the more money you print the less valuable the money is....many approved of the government printing even more money needlessly to "stop inflation". The movie Idiotocracy was a funny satire. Now it is the reality we live in.

I don't mean to keep splitting this off into different comment chains, but another thing came to mind.

Some people live their lives based on feelings and not facts.

The fact is, by basically every economic metric there is, the economy does better under democrats than under republicans:

OK. You live with the metrics and I'll live based on what's in my wallet.

Job growth, GDP growth, business investment growth, and pay growth are all higher under democratic presidents.

Recessions, budget deficit, unemployment, government spending are all higher under republican candidates.

The current inflation is largely a result of the COVID/Corp greed than anything. If you were to vote for your wallet you'd vote D.

Do you have evidence to support this, a study or some sort of research? I don't take anecdotes seriously.

Study? How is your buying power now vs. then? Inflation was caused by absurd unnecessary policies of democrats. I take real life seriously. I don't take "talking points" that are obviously false seriously.

It's always been getting shittier, regardless of the party who is in charge. Both republican and democrat politicians have been responsible.

Inflation was caused by absurd unnecessary policies of democrats

It's mostly corporate greed, and much of the government spending that led to this was under Trump during covid.

How is your buying power now vs. then?

Another thing to note, inflation is a requirement for a healthy economy. Ideally it should be in the low single digits, but beyond that range it kills an economy.

If it's too high, nobody can buy anything. But if it is too low or negative (ie deflation), then the economy falls apart because nobody wants to buy anything. Why buy an X now, when the price of X will be lower in a year? People just save their money in the hopes that they can get things cheaper. Business don't get business because people aren't buying things, and so the economy gets crippled.

So everybody should be shooting for inflation to happen, ideally somewhere around 2%. And that necessitates buying power going down. What we really need is inflation with better jobs that pay better. The wealth disparity between the rich owning class and the working class has grown astronomically.
