Nah, I’m a fan boy myself. And, I was an early adopter of Apollo. Feel bad he is losing his baby, and I feel his pain when I read his posts. Nothing wrong with being a fanX. Some people may use it to put people down but

Speaking of, I sure hope here (in this case, I refer to kbin) also gets a way to show/copy markdown. Because currently I'm not aware of any way to do that. There's no easy way to quote, either (have to manually add the > character at the start of every paragraph). Not sure if Lemmy has it.

Right!! The funny thing is f-u/spez picked Christian to shit on because he was being transparent; never once thinking Christian kept logs and recordings of everything because I'm sure f-u/spez deletes everything as policy.
He's not happy about it either, having accused Christian of "leaking private calls" in the AMA (Christian lives in Canada, where single-party consent is permissible).
Although that's just good business sense, which probably isn't a good sign. You always keep records of the call, or the call itself, if allowed, if only so you can go back over on it and make sure you didn't leave something important out in the notes.

That's the real killer for me. I didn't like Reddit's API business decision, but when they think they can just lie to everyone about the entire situation surrounding it that's what's getting me to nuke my accounts and ditch the platform completely.

What's funny is that it took this mess to drive me here, which made me realize that this is what I missed when reddit was younger. People interacting and not a bunch of bots posting and making banal comments all day. My page here changes all the time and I'm constantly seeing new content. It's wonderful
Whatever project/platform that Christian supports next will have my support. Apollo App was a shining example of what an iOS app should be, and I wish him success in all his future endeavors
Even if I don't want to go to that platform, I will buy the app to support him. I got the Apollo app so early and obtained the lifetime ultra for just a couple dollars. I've actually tipped him a couple times over the years as a thank you because I got it so cheap.

F-u/spez only had plans to make it new Facebook. That’s why the new Reddit. There have been leaks of memos in the federation of F-u/spez outlining the end of old Reddit and forcing everyone on new.
