Gaming ist längst ein Massenphänomen. Und gezockt wird generationenübergreifend, wie man auf der Kölner Messe Gamescom beobachten kann. Stark im Kommen sind die "Silver Gamer". Von Jan Koch.

@tagesschau Klingt im Artikel ja so, als ob Jenny und Björn Pankratz gerade ganz frisch in die Gamingbranche einsteigen mit ihrem ersten eigenen Spiel. Süße Story, ist nur leider Bullshit, die haben vor kurzem das Studio Piranha Bytes in den Sand gesetzt. Björn ist iirc schon mindestens seit 2001 (Release von Gothic) in der Branche.

@tagesschau@ard.social Als »silver gamer« – Reklamesprech ist relevant für den Tagesschaum – bevorzuge ich ja das olle Doom. Ich brauche kein Benutzerkonto, keine Registrierung, keine teure Hardware, keine Gängelung durch Gamingplattformen… nur einen einfachen Computer. Und es gibt unfassbar viele unfassbar gute Mods. Nur die Grafik sieht halt nach 1993 aus… aber das tut dem Spaß keinen Abbruch.
Im Moment spiele ich »Earthless«, ein ziemlich gutes, aber altbackenes Mapset.
