Microsoft is resisting efforts to make the contents of the email public

Hard to care about this without seeing the actual text of the email.

Yeah exactly, this is speculative and based purely on how the Lawyers have framed the evidence they've put forward. A single email by an employee does not necessairly reflect overarching aims and motivations of a company.

Everything companies do on the market is designed to eliminate the competition. Doesn’t mean it’s an achievable goal or achievable by legal means. Is MS buying up Activision blizzard anti competitive(and therefore illegal)? We will see

"eliminate" is such a strong word, when "be better than" or "have more market shares" is probably the realistic take.

Seriously Playstation has it's heels dug so deep into the market it'd be quite difficult to actually drive them out. Even with the Microsoft-ABK Merger.

If it was an email from 2019, I can't imagine it has anything to do with ABK. The merger didn't really even come about until all the legal drama started up for Activision.
