Neovim incremental selection using Tree-sitter

a year ago by codeinabox to c/neovim

I use incremental selections in Neovim all the time. This is where I tap, tap, tap, and on every single tap, the selection expands starting from the cursor position and climbs up by the node or the whole scope.

I like using leap.nvim for this since it has an added feature where you can select the node you want in one step by typing a two-letter label.

There is a similar feature in flash.nvim.

Ah interesting, how does this compare with treesitter-textobjects?

this is more convenient sometimes because you donโ€™t need to think about node names when selecting
