I live near San Francisco and it's expensive here but not insane like 10 million isn't enough. Only someone living in a beach house or something would say this. People like that choose vanity over practicality. Which to be fair is probably very expensive. 10mil in the bank can buy you a super nice place in Wyoming or somewhere but then you can't flex your stupidity over a 4 million dollar 1100sqft property.

It's a bit tougher with kids, where you might not want to move too far from family if they help occasionally.
