Proof That You Need MULTIPLE Rope Drop Strategies in Disney World

This is proof that sometimes, you need to be ready to pivot with your rope drop plan!

We’ve seen far too many times that your number one ride to rope drop may be down due to a technical issue, and the last thing you want to do is scramble because you don’t have another plan in place. In fact, we saw it happen just yesterday, and WE were almost caught off guard yesterday when one of the most popular rides in Magic Kingdom chose to have a late start.

What is "rope drop?" Disneyland lets guests inside the park about 30 minutes before it opens. Guests can walk towards the Hub, where ropes prevent them from entering the lands. At official park opening, there is an announcement and cast members pull back the ropes, allowing guests into the park. Because the crowds disperse quickly across many attractions, wait times are incredibly short for the first hour or two.

Disney adults are something else. The fact that planning a trip to a theme park is something you need jargon and multiple guides for is crazy to me.
