if i had to articulate why it doesn't pass the vibe check, it's weird distancing language where it makes queer people sound like a distant homogenous group that is simple to appeal to, instead of a huge, diverse set of unique human beings. it's a way of speaking that gathers them all up and puts them in a neat little box.

I don't doubt that she's received transphobic DMs, pretty much anyone who's trans has gotten them at some point (except for me, somehow I've been lucky thus far).
