We call on all student monitoring tools to remove LGBTQ+ terms from their blocking and flagging lists to ensure that young people’s privacy isn't violated

Removing certain keywords is hardly enough to ensure their privacy. This type of surveillance has no business being in a school to begin with. As a kid I found domain blocking to be bad, more of a nuisance really due to the ease of getting around it, but this stuff is downright dystopic.

Not a fan of this type of surveillance on kids. Also, tiktok has probably already trained them on creative ways to bypass word filters

are you ducking kidding me? kids have been learning how to get around this funky bull-shrimp for longer than the gosh darn internet has existed.

How the phrase "Love your neighbor" would be labeled

@LollerCorleone it’s a shame things are so bad that students are being monitored for using LGBTQ terms. Good on those companies for seeing the current situation as negative and doing something about it.
