Today's verse from the Bible app may be the most important out of all of them. It's not difficult to love everyone.

I'm talking about this app : https://play.google.com/...

You can always criticize lovingly, be disappointed, or even (temporarily )angry, i don't see why hate would ever be necessary/useful to change the other one. I may be wrong but just don't see it.

Can we dislike others while loving them ? I don't think so, not without recognising that they have many good sides worthy of our love/protection, and not while misrepresenting them as evil/bad by focusing only on what we perceive as flaws.
You don't help your enemies improve by correcting mistakes they made, but we'll warn those we love since we care about them. And again we should love everyone if we believe in a christian City of God.

Interesting to add, perhaps : https://www.caitlinjohnst.one/..., it's an impression i got when reading parts of the Philokalia : these monks want to feel God by denuding themselves from their thoughts, but should they not dedicate their lives to make the kingdom/city of God descend upon our Earth instead, what 'does the most good'/'serves God&humans the best' ? At least they're abstaining from evil, which is already remarkable enough, (inter)acting is always a risk.

Hey could you get this message to the 99.9% of them in the USA please? Ours don’t work correctly, they all act like confession is a get out of hell free card and a pass to act like nazi monsters.

This.

Truly the difference between canon Jesus and fandom Jesus is just loving people and dropping judgment.

I can't help but feel that not answering to your comment would imply silently agreeing to it, so here's my disagreement :
Your comment wouldn't say anything if you dropped your judgment towards what you consider "fandom Jesus", judgment/opinions are good, but i agree that one of the teachings of the Christ was to love one another, to forgive each other and ask for forgiveness, to confess our sins, etc. Obviously to perceive&'revel in' God's omnipresent light if the external conditions aren't too dark for us, etc. etc.

You're allowed your opinion. I just find too much hate in the judgement from people in my life who choose to call themselves Christians, and I question if they would find themselves closer to God through embracing the commandment given to love one another, rather than mocking, excluding, and judging.

Thanks, it didn't show in the thumbnail.

There were two He said summed the whole law. I'll leave it there since anything else I say may upset milkfed.

I stumbled upon this video yesterday, and there are so many proofs that christianity is rational, yet some muslims seem to misrepresent what son of God means, and apparently some christians as well : John 1:12 « But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, »
Just a note 🤷 , thanks for your comment :)

(see also, among others, the Church oscillate between calling every being H··er·is children, and reserving such absolute for the Christ, perhaps distinguishing between a child and a worthy perfect Child)

You are welcome. We are all sons and daughters of the Most High. We have all fallen short of the glory, and all our "righteousness" is filthy rags. And yet we are all worthy. The Kingdom is within.

Also I study kabbalah (both versions), and all manners of religions. They all say the same things in different ways. It's the institutions that are deceivers and lead us astray, by being in line with political and selfish agendas. Greater is s/he who is in me, than he who is [rooted firmly in] the world[ly] things.

Anyway all that to say all these "law" givers would call me heretic. Ha-Satan will appear as an angel of light, being the accuser. But people within these institutions are often very sincere. It's the Catholic Church, nonetheless, that first introduced me to a loving G-d.

I'm sorry if this post upsets you. Mods feel free to remove it. I wish everyone peace that surpasses understanding, and life more abundant.
