Aight, if it's a causal bro hang out, factor a six pack per day.
If y'all gonna be drankin, factor a case a day, and at least one mop

There is a reason beers have case sizes.
If you buy a standard case of beer, you can both partake of it at your own pace. If there is any left, you may keep it for enjoying later, or invite him to take what remains with him when the visit ends!
i am, it turns out, not male (it was a surprise to me honestly x3 but not THAT much of a surprise in retrospect...) so my example is probably not demonstrative; but when beer is available I will usually happily drink exactly two throughout a given Social Engagement day.
Honestly, they probably want what everyone else wants...just 2x more maybe.
In my experience, guy slumber parties are kinda boring. It's why we drink and watch bad movies.
I have waaaay more fun at women parties/sleepovers and want to imbibe what is offered. I like being the 1 male girl.

Does depend on the size, ancestry and level of alcoholism. Personally, I probably wouldn't be able (or rather, willing) to finish 20 beers, even if they're small ones and it's a 2 day meetup. I get drunk pretty fast and I don't enjoy consuming so much carbonated beverage.
