yea, obviously if you're at home breast-feeding, then you're not buying as much formula for whomever is tending the baby while you're at work.

I recall seeing an article talking about how baby formula companies offered free formula to deeply impoverished new mothers in some African countries. After the mothers went long enough without breastfeeding, they'd stop producing, making them dependent on buying more formula.
