and an economy bombed out by Russia, which is only really able to fund the war, due to massive European aid. Not to mention stuff like sanctions. There are also options like European soldiers in Ukraine and stuff like that.
It makes sense for them to sit on the table.

Ukraine needs a veto, specifically to prevent puppets of the kremlin from having that authority,
but they do not require the right to decide outright who represents Europe.
That is overreach.
